Basic Mountain Bike Clinic by Mountain Biking Association (Singapore): 13 Jun (Sat)

Learn basic Mountain-biking Off-Road skills with expert instructors from the Mountain Bike Association (Singapore)!
You will learn the basics of riding a bicycle (MtB) on easy off-road trails, including bike handling on up-slopes and down-slopes, use of gears, and braking techniques.

Experienced instructors will give a half hour presentation about Mountain-biking, biking techniques, and safety. Followed by a practice ride around the Kampong Trails and other interesting trails, ending back at the Assembly Area.

Places limited to 30 participants. Registration required (see below).

Open to participants (male and female) aged 15 - 50 years old. Participants must be able to ride a bicycle confidently on tarmac roads, in order to learn how to handle a bike off-road.

Participants can bring their own mountain-bike or rent one (at their own cost) from the shops in Ubin.

Participants must wear a bike-helmet (obtainable from the bike shop), and be properly attired in shorts, T-shirt and shoes (sports-type shoes). Only 'haversack-type' bags can be carried on the ride.

The instructor can deny participation to anyone he deems 'unfit' to participate. All participants participate at their own risk, and the instructors and The Mountain Biking Association of Singapore will not be held accountable or responsible.
